Quotes on the Parsha Re’eh (The Rebbe 5751)

Elul

The idea behind it is, that man draws close to God, which creates the reciprocal (namely that God draws to man.)

The difference between hearing and seeing – the former is below to above (you collect details and then form a picture) while the latter is the reverse

When God reveals – as it comes from God who is unlimited, it is infinite.

TRUE BLESSING

The greatest blessing is when suffering transforms.

ELUL

The month of Elul we create both a stock-take of the previous year, which should begin at the summer months (and then the previous winter) and a general resolution for the future (which should begin for the upcoming winter, and then the summer.)

SHABBOS / WEEKDAY

On Shabbos we bring the spiritual to the physical – during the weekday, we do the reverse.

KSIVAH VACHASIMAH TOIVAH

From the fifteenth of Av we begin wishing one another a Ksivah Vachasimah Tovah (Ugmar Chasimah Toivah.)

BECOMING

The basic approach to Divine service is the knowledge, within you the Divine pulsates.

SHABBOS

The Jew on Shabbos is infinitely on a higher plane.

YOU’RE INFINITE

The idea of how to approach this world (serving God) is like a soldier who has been given a magic weapon.

MOSHIACH – INFINITY

The true time of infinite (service) is when Moshiach comes (as his soul is from the essence of infinity.)

MESSIANIC MIRACLES

We see (this was in 1991) messianic miracles in Russia, not only letting out in a respectable way, and assisting Jews to emigrate but furthermore – recently a gathering of Chabad Rabbis, in Moscow occurred!

MOSHIACH IS HERE

WE MUST PUBILICLY ANNOUNCE THAT GOD HAS APPOINTED IN EVERY GENERATION, A PROPHET, WHO SEES THROUGH DIVINE VISION, AND HE IS TELLING US, THAT MOSHIACH HAS COME (And even if this is difficult for one to get – one must a. not allow others to lose out – and b. one should tell this to others and to oneself!)
