How does one focus on one’s soul desires i.e. ourselves more than our instincts?

Ironically it is exceptionally exceptionably simple

The reason we are so attached to our desires from our animal soul (instincts) is because as we are born in childhood when these instincts are very strong (a little child is in fact like a little animal) therefore we mistakenly assume it is who we are, i.e. we identify with our desires

When we learn to identify with our soul more than our selfish stupid instincts we have freed ourselves from the greatest tyranny / addiction known to man
